Ok, is it possible there are different versions of the movies floating around? I distinctly remember the heart painting scene and even have a copy of the movie with the scene in it...on another note, I also remember seeing Purple Rain in the theater when it first came out, barn scene and all...but no one else seems to have seen the version I saw... | |

Such a shame the movie didn't get attention and effort on the screenplay and also remain a true musical as the outtakes prove it was originally. I loved the look of the movie in terms of the photography by the DP. The costumes were cool, the image Prince had was cool. Just no story or character quality. At all.
