I could not find any post about this, so hopefully I wont get a link to some other post. Regardless, is it only interesting to me that- I believe around 2009 Prince did a television show in Europe. For those who know the show, during the perfomance he says, " I see you, Bri (as in bree)" and the camera lands on Bria. During the interview the host held up the For You cover and Prince whinced as if he was embarassed, and yet he has looked, or has attempted to look like the cover for the last few years. Go figure

For You was a warm-up record, just your standard lite disco-funk tracks. He never acknowledges it.. maybe he felt Prince was like his real debut? Not sure. But this isn't the first time I've heard of Prince possibly disliking/degrading the album.
