Was this the show were the sound was bad? I think maybe Prince has all of 5 shows in his whole career were he had a off night. You should give him another shot no way is he lacking live given that important things like the sound are working.

I have seen him 10 times with all ten shows being phenomenal.

Funny when I first read the title of this thread I thought you were asking how many "Ogres" have seen Prince live........truly some of the people in this place, supposed Prince "fans" are so intensely negative about the man they should be called "Ogres."

I've seen him twice and a half. First time in 1987 at a Black Radio Exculsive concert, he passed by me and George Clinton on his way to perform [I didn't have enough pull or cash then to get admitted to the concert]. I saw him in 1988 at the L.A. Colessium in support of "Lovesexy" it was an "ok" concert but lacked the focus he had in the concert I missed due to illness....that killer "Controversy" set at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1981.

Finally, I saw him at the Roseland Theater here in Portland, OR with 3RDEYEGIRL and it was absolutely rapturous. Completely packed, very fresh and raw due to it being a rock show....not an r & b show....totally face melting and incidiary. Everyone from middle-aged to some 20-somethings wanting to know who this cat really is. Been blessed to have seen him twice, for rock shows the 3RDEYEGIRL set was only matched to the Living Colour set I saw in 1993 at the Warwick in San Francisco. It was THAT good!

I missed him when he came to Australia in 2012. The thing is, he was only touring Sydney and Melbourne, and I was living in South Australia. At the end of 2012, I moved to Melbourne. It was a case of poor timing.

My only hope now is to travel to USA on a trip and see one of his shows there.

Another funny topic...A guy asks clearly "who never saw prince live ?" and 3/4 of the answers are like "I've seen him 3 times and a half". Unbelievable

I like having a thread just about me. And some other people like me. And some other people who also didn't see him live for half of a show that they also saw him live for half of. Which is kind of like not seeing him live... for part of a show. Something I have done MANY MANY MANY MANY times for entire shows, and after shows. And will do 4 more times in Louisville.

Up to me. I saw him live 2.66 times in a row.

Nice comments--but I can't take credit for the thread. I didn't start it.

I've seen him live but not close enough to touch him, like i wanted. I love Prince, one day i will get that close up touch. I can dream. Prince if you're reading this come to New Orleans again in smaller venue so i can see you up close please.
