Buzzfeed article - 'How growing up with Prince taught me to love sex' Hey everyone, Buzzfeed has posted an article about Prince!
http://www.buzzfeed.com/t...do-me-baby
I think some of the comments the author makes about his songs being 'misogynistic' are a little silly though. Bambi was written in the '70s where acceptance of LGBT wasn't as widespread and you could get away with saying stuff like that without it going under a lot of scrutiny. Also, does the author know who the song was about? I believe it was about Wendy who he initially fancied, but obviously she was lesbian so she wouldn't go with him? And with 'xtraloveable', it's worthwile to point out that Prince acted out a shooting on stage on the Lovesexy tour as an alterego pimp. Just because he's pretending to shoot up some place doesn't mean he nessacarily wants to go and do that IRL, lmao.
Anyway, post your thoughts below! Other than that, I think the article is a pretty good read and what she talks about is true for a lot of us here.

The article is actually titled "How Prince Taught Me About Female Sexuality", not 'How growing up with Prince taught me to love sex'.

Not to be rude, but I think the author could have included a loooot more about Prince and the role of women in his music. This was kind of rushed and showed pretty extreme examples. My favorite 'Prince and feminism' article was in 'Bitch' magazine circa 2003 iirc..
Still very cool Maybe do, just not like did before

Is it? When I saw it on facebook it was labeled that. I don't think it matters eitherway, it still illustrates basicaly the same thing~

Who knew you were an old woman who reads gossip and believes it. There's gossip and there's reporting from private sources. Sounds legit to me. I knew a girl at a swing club who knew Nona. Prince came up at some point and I said I was a fan...the dish then came. Said Nona was frustrated as well. Said prince would lock her in a cage a tickle her with feathers.... I was doubtful when I heard it....sounded silly. But when Nona talked w/o talking...it meshed with what Nona said....and also meshes with what toure's sources claim. It very much seems to me that sex....for prince...reaches beyond the typical intercourse realm. And like many...while some ssexuality is freely shared...much is held close to the vest.
