I wonder about this alot as I age with Prince. When I discovered him in the 70s, we were boys. I have gotten old with him through parts of the last 5 decades. You can tell he is holding onto what is probably his biggest physical trademark - his hair. THe only artist cooler than Prince was Miles Davis and he resorted to an outlandish head of false hair that actually started looking cool on him. But that was Miles. I dont want to see Prince with a wig or clean-headed. But I surely dont want to see him sporting the George Jefferson either - though I am sure he is entirely too vain for that. Time comes for everyone - even Prince.

theres that picture from ages ago with prince without a wig at an awards show and that was ages ago. and it looked like it was thinning bad. seeing how long ago that was hes basically bald now

I watched David Lee Roth fight balding for the last 2 decades and it made me a little sad - I like him so much and remember seeing him live with the flowing mane of blonde hair. He has a comb over sort of thing that is almost laughable - he just wears hats all the time now. I suppose that is what Prince will do.

DLR shaved his head, he played Dave Grohl's bday bash last month and he's gone chrome dome!

look at all the rock stars who aren't even thinning and you know they had preventive work done when they were in their 20's cos there's no way that many men could defy the avergae odds of thinning hair and/or balding. The odds are against them...

It's real alright - it looks like the fro that a black man in his late 50s would have after years of perms and relaxers and hot curlers and crimping irons and dyes and damn near everything you can do to human hair...and I still like it.

Actually it is all quite hereditary - thought to be a recessive gene on from the mother. My father is pushing 70 and had as much hair as he had the day I was born. THere are no bald headed men in my family at any age.

well my moms dad had a full set of hair . my dads dad didnt . so . we shall see .

Jesus doesn't any have proper sight anymore.You can clearly see a thinning bald spot on the fro on many photo and TV shots. He no doubt has already gotten some hair transplantation hence the hair shaving during 2010 period and also uses hair add ons. Like Howard stern said when they had a discussion about this on his show why would you wear a wig and look that bad.
