Morning Phase is more of an album than Beyonce's. It's got a theme, it's more cohesive,

it's got a sound etc..

No cussing on the album just how Prince likes his music.

Beyonce's album is all over the place.

Him saying albums matter and handing the award to Beck made sense.

Prince and any other presenters havent got a clue who the winners are untill they themselves open the envelope!! So regarding saying that albums matter and then handing the award to Beck is a bit stupid cos there is no way of him knowing who has won!!

Prince had the big performance with Beyonce in 2004 while Beck is an influential artist that has stated numerous times that Prince was a huge influence on his music. Either one wins and we see just how much Prince has influenced music over his nearly 40 year career.

He's like "Come on kids, come get your Grammy from Papa Prince. Good job!"

I was assuming that you thought that the presenters knew who the winners were before they opened the envelopes, cos they dont!!

You can actually tell, that Beck was a bit Starstrucked with Prince being onstage.

It's not in synch with the black lives matter comment, but that doesn't make the whole statement "a bit stupid" as the main point was that albums matter, just like books and black lives.

i.e. you could see it as "albums matter so much that right after I mentionned black lives, I still handed the award to the guy who made the best album and he happened to be white -- because albums matter and you need artistic integrity as well as knowledge and equality."

Of course he said none of that but that's how you could read it.
