No-one has posted this so far? So on Friday The Waterboys covered Purple Rain on Chris Evans' Morning Show on BBC, take a look:

The electric fiddle, in place of the famous guitar solo, at the end is amazing! Worth watching just for that, but a good cover all round.

This is a very good cover. They made the song sound somewhat their own even though this is such a staple for Prince. Nice find, Yggor wink

They were specifically inspired by Prince in the sound of the song. I'm not sure if it's been confirmed that any of the lyrics are about him. I like to think so though!
