eye have been thinking lately, after listening to The Flesh's song U Gotta Shake Something, about the other names P has released material under and alter ego's P has posessed over time.

lately, eye have had U Gotta Shake Something, Return Of The Bump Squad and Rebirth Of The Flesh on repeat and come to the conclusion that Tora Tora and Camille are my favorites; Tora Tora especially with his bass playing and his hella cool one eye'd bass, and funnily enough, Tora Tora actually currently inspires me more than Prince (Tora Tora helped me pick up a bass guitar).

Camille on the other hand has some funky grooves on SOTT, The Black Album & "her" own [unreleased] album which so needs to see the light of day! & whenever eye think of Camille, eye always imagine her to have in fact looked like P during SOTT film.

but what bout y'all? who are your favorite Prince alternatives and the material they released?

my all time favorite is Exodus: just for Get Wild, Return Of The Bump Squad and Big Fun...
