What a cool set list. I'm sure folks wanting to hear some 80s hits were anxious after an hour or so of the early 90s material. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

I was there! That was my first ever Prince concert! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I was thinking the same, that still when he performed/featured/promoted a current album

I was there too. It seemed like everyone in NYC was there that night. That was the first concert I ever went to that had an intermission. P and the NPG were on fire. I still have my tourbook, ticket, t-shirt (that still fits) and a video bootleg of the show (on VHS somewhere). I had nosebleed seats but it was still worth it. I think this was the era when P started to let fans come up on stage and dance...One lucky female fan kissed P on the cheek and the women in the audience (loudly) gasped in disbelief...I think they were thinking "That should be me!!!"

I saw him in Atlanta on this tour and this show still to this day is my favorite tour he has done. That band tore the roof off!! I wish there was a proshot show from this tour

I saw this tour on the west coast, Los Angeles Universal Amphitheater. Dont remember the day it was supposed to be on, but Prince was sick and our show was rescheduled for Saturday night. I went thru HELL trying to change my shift at work, but I made it...and the man tore the house down! Make it so, Number One...

I saw this show at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on April 19,1993 (if I'm not mistaken).Excellent show! I like how the first half was devoted entirely to the Love Symbol album. The second half was also good, but I was surprised that "Cream" and "Diamonds and Pearls" weren't on the setlist, since those songs had been major hits for Prince just one year earlier.

During intermission,Madonna and Whitney Houston (with Bobby) were spotted in the lobby, chatting like old friends

A lot of people don't dig the chain-link police hat but I find it brilliant. Don't dig the floppy mushroom haircut but it had its moments (It looked so feminine and curled in 'Peach' )
Besides Madonna, Whitney Houston, and Bobby Brown, I've heard that other huge stars like Michael Bolton (who supposedly was studying Prince's technique closely) and Sylvester Stallone attended as well Maybe do, just not like did before

I have this on dvd and two of Madonna's dancers, Jose & Luis got up on stage during 'Get On Up' and danced with Mayte. They were both wearing matching Jean Paul Gaultier dresses. 3121... Don't U Wanna Come?

I was there the first 2 nights. I had no money back then so the seats were pretty bad but it didn't matter. I danced all night. I took my sister the first night, she's a huge fan too and some girl I was dating to the second night. I should have brought my sister both nights.

I went to the 17 April, 1993 show at the Universal Amphitheatre. A friend's girlfriend got the tickets for us to go to the show because she knew we were both Prince fanatics and by me going, that got the girlfriend out of having to go I was so excited to see She's Always In My Hair, Blue Light, and Irresistable Bitch performed live. Mayte was beautiful and Prince was on point. Fantastic show A robin sings a masterpiece that lives and dies unheard...

Prince wanted to do that again at the concert, like Elton & George with 'Don't Let The Sun...', but Damon D told him that 'That would be too gay'. Stop the Prince Apologists ™

I was at one of those shows. I believe he had a bit of slip at some point and fell on his ass. Those heels are a bitch. [Edited 1/28/15 11:35am]

I was there at that show also.. Had seats off to the left upper area.. First time seeing Prince. My friend was supposed to get me tickets also but for another night but his aunt sold them to someone else..
I still have the new paper clipping about the showing being moved to illness. [Edited 1/28/15 15:44pm]

I went to the first 2 shows at the Chicago Theater and caught the aftershow at the Cabaret Metro after the 2nd show. I also went to the warm up show in February at Glam Slam. Great shows and great times!!! TRUE BLUE
