Glamorous Life - the LP did Sheila E. have ANY input on this album, I wonder?
it sounds like she only did the vocals. The only track i can even hear her percussion is the title song. except for a small vocal at the beginning, I don't hear her at ALL on the instrumental track Shortberry Strawcake - I think it could qualify as a true "Prince" song. *

if you had heard more of her input, the record wouldn't even be close to as good as it is.

I'm sure she did some percussion work also.

the percussion is excellent, her singing is lovely, and if Prince did the rest I have no problem with that.
I think the first 2 Sheila records are better than a lot of Prince records

Romance 1600 is one of my favourite records by Prince. --------------------

i don't hear any Sheila E - style percussion on any tracks except for the title song. It just sounds like Prince's synthesized beats on the whole album... maybe I'm missing something.

Oliver's House has some nice Sheila percussion. This album sounds so much different--and to me, so much better--than his other side projects, and I've always thought that Sheila had a little more influence over him than the other acts and therefore was more of a collaborator. Also, notice that Noon Rendezvous was credited to Girlsongs/Chocheat Music, when all the other songs were just credited to Girlsongs--maybe Sheila really did cowrite this song.
