Prince style clothing Anybody know of any nice places online to find Prince like or Prince style clothing? Or any good ideas how to make some. definately NOT the cheesy looking Purple Rain coat and ruffles Halloween costumes but something that looks like he might wear it in concert, or a nice quality costume could be made. Ex. High collar satin shirts, jackets etc. Need for Prince VS MJ tribute show. Thanks!!! A Million. "If you wanted to buy a Sam Cooke album, where would you go?"

I was just wondering about that the other day. I was lucky because when I was stationed in Korea a few years ago, I took some pics of Prince in suits around the time of Musicology and had a tailor make me a couple of suits. High collar shirts for two of the suits and a third suit with a mandarin collar. Beautiful Cashmere blend custom made for less than 200.00 each. You would probably have to do the same but I imagine it would be know where as cheap. If you have a China or Korea town in a big city near you, that would be your best bet. One of the suits is just like the one he wore when he played 'While my guitar gently weaps" at either a hall of fame or tribute to George Harrison show. The bottom of the jacket is even because only Prince can pull of the one side a foot longer than the other. Good luck! If I come across somewhere online I'll post it.

Thanks so much for the replies guys...I found some great stuff online too.
Believe it or not! draculaclothing.com (too far away to trust ordering from here - and need it in 2 weeks anyway)
https://shrinestore.com/store/catalog/ A few nice things here that could work.
Still looking! Thanks Again!

If you wanted a certain era or outfit making I would say your best bet is to get it custom made. I highly advise you look for people who make 'cosplay' costumes as often these people are commisioned to make very elabourate costumes for anime characters and the like. So making something like Prince's clothes wouldn't be too much of a stetch for them. It might be a little pricy, but more often than not very much worth it in the long run.
If you don't want to go the whole hog you could possibly have a search around in second hand stores and stuff. Often you can find some pretty quirky stuff there that you might be able to modify if you are handy with a needle (or know someone that is, haha).

Thanks!
I think I may have to go this route as I'm pressed for time. The shows are next month. There are some nice hi collar satin shirts on the houseofelvis.mybigcommerce.com site. - he's always wearing those high collar shirts under his suits and they can make them without the embroidered TCB (taking care of business) on them.
I found some cool things that look like something he might wear at the www.shrinestore.com site.
