I sometimes wonder if the people that are posting mean or not so positive comments about Prince may or could b Prince trying to get a laugh or a strong emotional reaction from die hard fans in a devilish kind of way. I don't know...what do u think?

If you are a multi-millionaire, who has made an indelible contribution to music, why would you give a fuck about comments from nameless individuals that wouldn't express those negative remarks to your face? Truth of the matter is, people take the time to post those comments because they got nothing else going for them.

I heard the day the new 2015 Facebook T&C and policies were made public he gave the order to nix the Facebook page...
I don't know about the other pages...
But axing his page, knowing his stance on ownership of his image and the new Facebook policy allowing them to use your shit without your permission and even sell it, seems logical to me...
I'm not even on any bullshit social network for these kind of reasons...

Will be funny though with all these idiots posting pics of their kids or something and then seeing them being used on shit they don't agree with or support...

The Facebook policy change to be able to use your stuff isnt the way people are interpriting it..... It was just a chain thing that went round in July then again in November etc...

The way it 'uses' your photos, is for example if there is an advert for say "Durex" Durex might pay facebook for advertising so, in your news feed Durex may show up as an advert, the way Facebook uses your photos it may say show the advert and it will then say who on your friends list likes Durex next to it, therefore using your name.

In the same sense If I was to go on Facebook now and Like Durex's page, facebook uses my Name and Profile pic in others news feeds on my friends list to say "Fnksoul 'likes' Durex"


So, an artists page has nothing to worry about in this sense because they wouldn't be able to like a page.

Any Facebook have already confirmed somewheere that they will never own or use your images without consent

I don't think Prince has ever posted here. Although, there was an Orger named "PlanetEarth" or something like that, who many people thought was prince. I think there have been a couple other accounts that were suspected to be Prince, but I doubt it was really him.

I believe he had an AOL account back in the mid-to-late '90's called "isis2ooo" or something like that (using the letter "o" instead of the number zero). This was back when he had his troubles with Warners. But again, who really knows?

Maybe he has had an account but never posted? Like, just lurked?

But omg the idea of Prince reading my posts about him makes me just a lil embarrassed

It's totally possible! It's a fun game that a famous person can play on their fans.They come to a site like this,post really negative,hateful stuff,then sit and back and watch his diehard fans post passionate rebuttals.That's gotta be a boost to his ego,to see so many people "protecting" him and cussing out the bitter,negative "fan"
