Why wouldn't people think it's genuine? Go to 3rdeyegirl.com (The bands official website) scroll down and oh - there is the link to their twitter page.

I don't believe it's an official account, but FFS. He/they could have put the twitter page into hibernation thus retaining the twitter-name. He closed it which frees up the name and now a "fan" has re-registered it as their own.

That's what happens without a strong management team. But the official website links to a bogus twitter account.
