Earls court closure: Prince 1992 memories

Note: Due to the 11:00pm. curfew Prince and the NPG almost ran out of time and made the encores short. Six people were invited on stage during Baby I'm A Star / Push

For some reason, I don't think I have a D&P tour recording. I know I've never heard "Jughead" live.

Should I find this, or am I better off never hearing Prince try to rap live?

There r a few soundboards. It was a fine tour. On a pro-shot video it's obvious that prince was under a lot of stress at the time, he's just totally unlike his unsual self on stage, very tense. Musically it was an interesting tour, and the D&P material sounded more like prince than D&P with the Hornheads and all.

A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

A Night In Tunisia is a Dizzy Gillespie composition.

The 28 May 1992 show in Rotterdam has my favourite version of Purple Rain ever. It's worth finding the show just for that. I really liked Thieves in the Temple from that show as well.

What were the stresses at the time?

I didn't attend the tour, but I remember great reviews, the UK went nuts (again) for him. The album was his most commercially successful and received critical acclaim. Gett Off also meant he was 'cool as fuck' once more.
