Analysing the results to date, using the system of points. . 1st = 10 points, 10th = 1 point, I also assume unnumbered lists in which the album listed first is the first and so on. . Lists with less than 10 albums will be accorded marks from 10 for 1st choice and so on down, so a list with six names will be 5 points for the last named album. . Lists with two albums listed in one place, will receive half the marks each, hence why we have listed marks. . Lists with the Black Album, which I consider from the Golden Period (1987) will have the Black album listed invalid and 10 points given to the next legit album under it. . After the results I will list these dodgier albums under the official ones, so all opinions are accommodated. . First most points and then most lists an album was on. . Most points
1. Gold Experience - 161 (Is anyone even surprised with this superior album, the fact it was supressed and was legendary for a while adds to its mystique) 2. Lovesymbol - 133 (Clear 2nd place, Prince fans love rock opera albums obviously) 3. The Rainbow Children - 115 (Prince's flawed dogmatic masterpiece is redeemed by some top notch playing and sheer musical ability, along with some amazing harmonies) 4. Graffiti Bridge - 112 (Close fight between these two) 5. Come - 105 (This underrated gem has also found more love in recent years) 6. Art Official Age - 92 (This year's album has proven its going to be popular, but will interesting to see how it fares in a few years, has its newness boosted its popularity or will it endure?) 7 = Emancipation 83 - sprawling mess, but enough great moments 7 = 3121 83, Even with Lotisflower and AOA, this 2006 album proved Prince still had it. 9. Lotusflow3r - 82 Speak of the devil, another high point of recent years. 10. Prince - 58 Prince's first masterpiece, a highpoint of his early sound before punk came in. 11= Batman - 52 Prince's only 80s album not a classic, still on eyear away from Lovesexy proved it still had some soaring moments 11 = D and P everything good and bad about the early 90s, soaring singles and some real dross 13. Crystal Ball - 49 Inspired Cherry picking here, wheat and chaff on 3 CD's 14. The Truth - 38 15 = For You - 31 Prince's first album had enough on to prove here was a guy worth watching. 15 = N.E.W.S - 31 Prince's jazz also found friends. 17. Musicology - 22 18. The Vault - 21 19. Planet EARTH - 20 20. Plectrum Electrum - 19 Definitely the lesser of his latest offerings 21. 20Ten - 15 22. Chaos and Disorder - 14 23. One Nite Alone Piano - 12.5 (Joint 10th place on one list like other ONA albums) 24 = Rave un2 Joy fantastic - 11 24 = MPLSound - 11 although I am not sure if people include it with Lotusflow3r. 26. One Nite Alone 10.5 27. New Power Soul - 5 One person gave it 6th place
Other albums scored 1. Black Album 16 points 2. Exodus 11 points 3. The War 7 Points 4. The Undertaker 7 Points 5. NPGMC 1 Points (A bit pointless as this was at least 3 albums clammering for a joint 10th place)
No marks awarded The Hits The B sides Rave in 2 Joy fantastic Ultimate Kamasutra

I love Graffiti Bridge, but I wish it were Prince only. It kind of makes it a "Best of Paisley Park Records" type of thing. That makes it not gel as well as some of his other stuff. "New Power slide...."

Some of these I actually like better than some of the albums from 1980-1988. _
In no particular order:

Thanks to Adorecream for compiling the list! I knew Gold and Rainbow Children were popular, but I'm really surprised at the album getting so much love. I guess you are right that a lot of Prince fans like the rock opera side of his music. Personally I find it overworked, overproduced and over-everything to the point of being totally unlistenable, I always preferred the stripped down naked funk.

I think the esteem for "Art Official Age" will only continue to grow as the years go by. It's a sleek, funky, inventive collection of great songs. * * *

Don't know hjow to grade the last list, as the total marks awarded is 55 per list and that would mean awarding each album 5.5 marks, which makes it too messy. . I agree about Lovesymbol, take out the segues and Tony M's rapping and you have a Gold Experience/Art Official Age quality album. Songs like Morning Papers, Love 2 the 9s, Damn U, 7 and Sexy MF are true classics! . Actual number of lists each album appeared in (Sorry forgot to include it yesterday) .
. First row is points and second row is lists it appeared in. No real change from overrall points, but you can see that Art Official Age appears in more lists than Graffiti Bridge, meaning its overall placing in each list was lower than Graffiti Bridge. Overall it shows how divided fans are over certain albums, the scores indicate no average higher places than about 4th (Gold Experience had an average score of 7 meaning it was an average of 4th place. On average most albums scored on average 5th or 6th place, Worst off would be Chaos and Disorder and MPLSound which scored on average 8th to 9th place (2 or 3 points). And the total number of lists when my data was done was 29, so TGE only appears of 78% of them. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I'm surprised Come is that high, to me it's practically unlistenable. Truth & One Nite Alone are just dull...

1. The Gold Experience - Sounds a bit overproduced and macho today but still a stellar album.
I consider Prince to lead into the classic era and therefore excluded it from my list.
