Prince's best cover, annihilates the original and any over cover that I've heard. I love everything about it; the psychedelic rock sound, the under-water vocals, the incendiary guitar work (some of the best that Prince has ever put to disc)... it's just perfect.

Along with 'Boom', this is the perfect one-two punch. I wish this was a Prince original, it's just so good. I wish even more that Prince did an entire album with this production and songs this strong. Though for some reason it reminds me of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.

What does everyone think of Prince's cover?

Not as good as Joan Jetts version.

I have seen a snippet and it looked great..

it's ok... in the last 10 years the only two songs i can say were great are fury and another love.

everything else just never captured my attention like his past stuff. from the gold experience, back down to come to love symbol to diamonds and pearls and graffiti bridge, there were always one or more outstanding songs on those albums. but ever since the rainbow children era and on ward we really have been missing those stand out songs...

Crimson and Clover and Anotherlove are imo the best covers by Prince

Good point! Actually, I think the only way Prince could have improved Crimson and Clover would have been to replace the guitar solo with a Larry Graham sermon.

I think it could do with a cow bell thrown into the mix too.

It's great. I actually think this is about not only Andy Allo and Susannah but also Bria, Carmen AND Tamar. All the clues are there in the lyrics, just like Anotherlove.

Another Love is another great cover - and it's so far removed from the original that it might as well be an entirely different song. I like his additions to the lyrics too, though I've been wondering about all that hair he was sharing - what was he doing exactly? Sharing his afro wig with this person?

I heard him do it a few times live in his 2013 shows. So good. Funny too, it was a fairly dyspeptic sixties song that was, nonetheless, catchy. One of those songs that you hate yourself for loving.

I really like Princes' version of Crimson and Clover, the video is super fine.

Prince reinvented Another Love and made it his, just by the way he delivers it.

IDK why but it made me think of Bria and hair extensions. When they were together I don't remember seeing him rocking the fro. But hair extensions could be used in lots of ways.

Yeah, love the video too. I've downloaded it from somewhere, and I don't know whether the sound is out of sync i.e. he doesn't move his mouth when the lyrics are sung, but the overall visual effect makes it better IMO.
