Simple solution. Have D'angelo as the lead singer for The Revolution. Since everybody is saying D'angelo "out-Princed" Prince on his new album, I'm sure D would do it for a 5 piece from KFC, bootleg of Prince demos from high school and a gram of coke.

I think that is a fantastic idea!

SquirrelMeat said: 3rdEyeGirl sucks compared to the Revolution.A year from now, when Prince gets bored of 3rdEyeGirl and discards them,no one will even be talking about them anymore. But notice that,30 years after Purple Rain, fans are still talking about the Revolution.

No, people still talk about the music Prince created in the 83/86 period, but not the revolution as a live band.

People won't talk fondly about 3EG in years ahead, but I've seen both bands live many times in big and small venues and 3EG were the tighter band.

Drums? Probably a draw. Both are average.

Bass, Ida is in a different league to Brown Mark.

Guitar. Donna leaves Wendy standing.

I loved the Revolution shows, but it was never because of their musical prowess, but because the hottest act on the planet was doing his thing.

This is on the money. Only the most hardcore Prince fans think The Revolution was a big deal. W&L were good artistic contributors, but as a band it was always about Prince and always will be. The average person cares about Prince's band members like they care about his personal chef or limo driver.

The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I mean I'd pay to see them perform together again...it would be a gold mine eek what's it gonna take to ever see them do their thing again?

They'll reunite at the Academy Awards when "Under The Cherry Moon" gets a special Oscar.
