That works too.
I just smile at how great Prince once was, and then I turn on other music by artists who have still got it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I hope this NEVER happens. That was aparticular place and time and all that could happen is unflattering compariosons to the past. Prince will never allow himslef to be a nostalgia act and I'm grateful for that! [Edited 12/10/14 18:40pm]

I'll never stop wanting this to happen, but it seems that the Prince Wendy/Lisa camp needs some serious interpersonal rehabilitation. I think all parties feel really disrespecred by each other.

that clip makes me so nostalgic man, that was such a wonderful time/era!

Somebody finally gets it! Prince likes the challenge of playing with different musicians and changing his band every few years. It's one thing for Prince to play the hits for audiences that want to hear his most well known songs but to reunite The Revolution simply to satisfy folks nostalgic cravings for Prince and The Revolution to play and sing like they did 30 years ago would be beyond lame. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Where did you get that thought from? I don't think the Revolution members have any issues with each other and Prince and Bobby Z talk and actually hang out, there were together at Paisley Park just a few months ago Some I know who knows Lisa & Wendy told me Prince in the last few years have visited at their studio etc

They were great in the day, but that was then, this is now. 3rdeyegirl were great live this year. I would prefer him to keep moving. Besides, I think its more about live song choices, rather than the band that play them. .

Substantive lyrics. Yup...cuz everyone is always talking about their substantive lyrics. They were all over the Hero's score. Also....no lie....there's substance in Prince's lyrics still. [Edited 12/11/14 17:09pm]

Who? My assessment of the GP's knowledge of the revolution or W & L is marginal if any; a similar assesment to the GP's knowledge of 3EG. The vast majority of people are merely vaguely aware that there's a band and usually have no idea and are apathetic as to who the players r...rev OR 3EG

I thought we were talking about The Revolution, not just Lisa and Wendy and in that aspect I'm damn sure they'd have had the courage and the ability to collectively convince his majesty that "Oh no he didn't" lacked substance. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Queue the " I'm not gonna do your stupid music" gif from P.R. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

No, people still talk about the music Prince created in the 83/86 period, but not the revolution as a live band. Bass, Ida is in a different league to Brown Mark. Guitar. Donna leaves Wendy standing. .

Simple solution. Have D'angelo as the lead singer for The Revolution. Since everybody is saying D'angelo "out-Princed" Prince on his new album, I'm sure D would do it for a 5 piece from KFC, bootleg of Prince demos from high school and a gram of coke. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR
