On the 20th Anniversary DVD the scene where Jerome says to Prince: So Sexy!
Also if I can remember correctly the scene when Prince comes home and his Father has the gun. The eerie music is missing.
This was all corrected in the Blu-Ray release.

How does something like this happen? It seems like a strange couple of mistakes without an obvious reason. You've got some good ears and a good memory for noticing this!!

Grain is not a bad thing though, it looks more like the original film when grain is left intact. When they instead scrub all the grain away with DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) it leaves a waxy look, kind of like everything has vaseline spread on it. See the Blu-ray of Predator for an example.
