If you like this, you should check out Michael Hedges. He's the guy that popularized this guitar style. He's Jimi Hendrix to the acoustic guitar. He dies before smart phones so there aren't a ton of great quality videos of him, but he is the absolute master of this style. His version of 'A Love Bizarre' is great, too.

Strange, because it suggests that McKee wasn't a "recording artist" (and not just a "former guitar teacher") by the time Prince recruited him. I second the recommendation of Hedges--I saw him just a few months before he died, and it was a really cool show.

Reminds me of Ben Lacy:

Very cool to see this. Nice of Prince to reach out to this "average Joe" and connect with him. Not his usual "demographic" of folks he would do that for, but of course it was just a trip to Australia not exactly a record and promotion deal ala Bria, Andy Allo, Tamar, etc....., wrong anatomy. LOL
But sounds like Prince needs to attend an Ed Sheeran concert if he digs this kind of genre. I attended several over the Summer with my daughter who is really into him and the dude can really bring it, both vocally as well as his "one man show" with his guitar that provides multiple sounds via the whole looping thing. It was actually quite impressive and he is a very low key guy and puts on a very good concert.

Sorry for having to copy & paste the link. I've forgottren how to post a video clip.
If Prince recruited him, does that mean there may be a collaborative effort in the vault?
