It seems more like he has just given the girls the holidays off, Hannah and Josh look like they have spent alot of time with Family since they are big Christians and Hannah posted a pic about missing a kid she was holding already so maybe they have made their way back to Paisley Park now?

Makes sense if he's taking them on a tour for a while.

Retooling would be my guess.

At least three discs are needed for a proper release that can impress.

Man, if I had Prince money I would be hibernating right now, I'd get my staff to build me a pillow fort in Paisley Park and then never come out, apart from having to go the kitchen to get snacks (although ideally the kitchen could be included in the fort.) That would be so cool.

He does not plan ahead.

He himself wakes up in a different world each day. Like a goose.

He's doing something he is loath to do, the remasters. There's no way WB gave him his shit back and released those two albums without a commitment to sit down and start working with them in January. He can act as petulant as he wants about the notion of "past" but conglomerates like WB dont play that shit. It will be as they want it to be, comprehensive and with goodies, and that way their business with him is through. He'll spend most of 2015 shitting on it but face it, we wont care if he interviews or tours because it will still outsell anything he's doing now or in the near future. Fuck around and end up having to make a damned Grammy speech for some shit you didnt want to do LOL.

Before he came out with the "RnR Love Affair" and "Screwdriver" singles it almost seemed that he had quit recording and had gotten bored of "being Prince". So this type of a hiatus for a few months is not entirely new.

I REALLY HOPE THIS IS TRUE. But then again didn't WB imply that the remaster would come this year in one article? I can't really imagine them just letting prince carry on with his rock band and miss out on the opportunity to capitalize on a 30th anniversairy.

U know how things be in Minnesota: if he goes out then he "can't find his house underneath the snow", so he has to stay in until spring or he'll die alone in an alley (or spend the whole winter in a villa in LA, which is even worse)!

Hope he's working on some more great music...
