This has probably been asked a million times before, but here it goes anyway. I am trying to track down the full version of The Ladder from the Lovesexy Tour Rehearsals in L.A. It's the stunningly beautiful version that is played in the closing minutes of the Prince: A Musical Portrait documentary.

Basically, I would give my back teeth, the deeds of my house and some dirty pictures of my first girlfriend to find the full version of that song. It is, hands down, the very best version of The Ladder I have ever heard and I've been looking for it on and off for years.

Any ideas? I'm just looking for pointers - don't want to break the forum rules

I may be wrong for I don't know all the circulating rehearsals by heart but as far as I know this is not in circulation anyway, u'll have to do with what u got.

I'm the Great Discographer (see link below) so I can assure u it was NOT anything official either audio or video. It's possible the rehearsal leaked on boots, though, my knowledge of boots is not as extensive as my knowledge of official releases.

When I say u broke the forum rules it's I think u did but I'm not a mod so they will decide. U've ASKED. Asking is breaking the rules (I've had myself a few threads deleted because my "veiled" requests were not "veiled" enough )

I think your within safe guidelines in asking if its been released in 1 form or another.
Not every one knows if theres an offical release or not
But asking for pointers may be pushing it

You wont find it. If its out there, its certainly not in wide circulation.. Ive neve seen it
We know of that clip you speak of, too bad its just that a clip

I've looked and looked for that, too.

As stated by FragileUndertow - unreleased - not circulating.

There's a rehearsal of the Ladder but its from a Parade Tour rehearsal.

Its got the same feel to it and is definitely the best alternative to what you're after.

It exists, but only for extremely tight circulation (i.e., don't count on ever getting your hands on it)
