'Don't Let Him Fool Ya' -> 'Everybody Dance' by Ta Mara and the Seen .
Would it seem that Jesse Johnson "borrowed"/"recycled"/"referenced" some of the structure from the former for the latter?
.
There appear to a number of clear similarities, albeit assimilated to post-PR mid-80s genericized Jesse Johnson production of course.

One other tidbit on Ta Mara (Margie Cox) just found that I never knew...
Cox is a long-time associate of the singer Prince and his band The New Power Generation. In the early 1990s, she recorded more than 25 songs with Prince for a band to be called M.C. Flash, although the album was never released.

Well. if true, not good!...but I believe/hope he's done some soul searching since those days (?) which we all can benefit from doing, make positive changes within ourselves/lives as we grow.
