Prince Followed 8-Min ‘SNL’ Jam With EPIC NYC After-Party!!

*After his extended “Saturday Night Live” performance, Prince took the party to Midtown lounge Butter for an intimate after-party with about 25 people, including his band 3rdEyeGirl and dancers.

Spies tell the New York Post’s Page Six that Prince and DJ Kiss played a set of ’70s and ’80s R&B as well as tracks from his new album.

One witness said, “The room got up to dance around 3:30 a.m. Prince deejayed with Kiss, then he got on the dance floor. At 6 a.m. he was still dancing.”

celebrated his MEGA, successful, HIGH rated, SnL gig privately!! He must be very proud of himself for making history AGAIN!

Pentacle	AAt the end of the party, he held up a box with the WB-logo. Inside, the rumored Purple Rain boxsets. Then he set fire to the box and moonwalked through the ashes, laughing like a maniac. Stop the Prince Apologists ™

Another party where no one can et in, and Butter is not a "midtown" location.

Yeah he should have done something more while in the city if he plans on touring, would hae been better following SNL rather than play for celebs

You have to grease the palms of the VIPs. Its part of doing business with the majors, especially at this part of his career. Hopefully it will be a positive result for the fans in the future.

I think it's more likely Prince was the guest of honour, not the host. Usually at a show like that, they'll put on a party for the guests and sometimes invite them to do something, like DJ.

Scarfo	I just recently watched the SNL performace. I thought it was pretty good. The audience and Prince had nice energy. Those 8 minutes went by lightning quick!
