How, how, HOW can you listen to the ending of Aintturninround, the whole of the title track or the blistering solo work on Anotherlove and NOT be a fan? How also can you listen to Art Official Age and think it's the better work? I don't even think Prince thinks this.

And her Confessions album, which Jump is from, is my second favorite album of hers, behind Ray of Light. And that says what?

Yes, he could do without the fawning sycophants. They've hurt his career for the last 20 or so years. He needs to be challenged by people with higher expectations.

Right up there with Sign o' the Times, is it?

I can't agree more. They look like a white Destiny's Child, but one that can play instruments--in other words, slapped together by Prince. มีเพียงความว่างเปล่า 只有空虚 Dim ond gwacter 만 공허함이있다 唯一の虚しさがあります There is only the void.

Maceo hung just fine and he's got at least a decade on Prince. I think it's clear that a huge number of musicians would work with him happily (Dave Grohl, anyone?), but that's not what he wants. He has always worked with women, a lot of them with questionable talent, some very talented. I appreciate that he puts women front and center when most male musicians don't bother. Clearly it lights his creative fire. I'm not a fan of PE, but I'm ok with it because he also gave us AOA, which I love. I suspect 3EG has just about run its course anyway, but have they really impeded him? I think not.

There are 2 reasons why Prince puts women front and center: . 1: He wants to sleep with them (or already is) 2: Male musicians would physically overshadow him on stage because of his size. Some women might be taller, but most likely not have larger physiques (heavier women like Rosie and Boni are exclusions).

This is known. I don't see how it conflicts with my point or why it even matters. As I said, he works with a lot of women of questionable talent. Working with women obviously inspires him. I can't see that after 4 decades he's going to change course and start working with a bunch of old dudes - has nothing to do with old dudes' refusal to work with him.

I think most bands/artists don't usually nail a really good album until their 3rd or 4th record. I know some bands just start off great first record but I think that is rare. . I like 3EG as a band, they're a good band, I think their live performances are spot on, but sadly I think they failed to bring that magic to their album. I hope there is a 2nd effort because it would be a shame to put in all that effort just to drop them like that unless they're all fed up with eachother which doesn't seem to be the case. . I think if they would've just released an album of their UK tour that would have been a much bigger success. So glad I got to see all their Youtube performances while it was around, because that was pretty cool!
