And to be fair he's not took 3EG on a proper tour, and they will be his Band for the Tour that is coming (Ida Dropped a hint on the album launch) with I think maybe a few additiong NPG horns etc.. thrown in IMO.

The fact he played more PE songs on SNL shows he is still passionate about where he wants to take them.

There is nothing wrong with the band, they are great no reason to get rid they havent limited him in any way.

I'm not a fan of P&3EG myself. Their take on rock is so canned, takes no risks. There's a reason why AoA is lightyears better than its twin.

And yes, the fro is an eyesore.

Canned?

They reinvented LGC and made it sound like a new song. PE is a 5 minute instrumental, they took a soul song and made it into a rock song. I don't think there is anything canned about them.

yep and at the end of the day, when he removes his wig before bed, he is just another dude like you and me...............sometimes I bet he gets tired of being the Prince that plays Purple Rain, esp. since he still seems to be creating new music at a rapid pace

I think they will hang together for awhile. He could do a whole lot worse.

I like them and want them to do another album together. In fact, I would like them to go harder and darker. Having said that, I would also like to get my hands on that elusive NPG release that wont see the light of day. I want to hear a horn-laden Big City amongst other things. And, again, having said that, I also want a new album that follows on from the direction AOA took with Josh having a big influence.

So all in all, I want all personas and musical styles immediately, right now. Thanks.

The problem you have is, how many Aging musicians would want to work with him in the same capacity? Unsociable hours, could decide to do gigs at the drop of a hat, doing 2 or 3 shows in a night.

There isnt many who could keep up with him and who would stand for it not to mention they will have other comitments such as children etc...

He did give us something to love--with Plectrumelectrum. I honestly think it's his best work since The Rainbow Children, and I've been a fan since 86. Seriously, it's cohesive and evenly arranged. I've listened to the album at least 30 times since purchasing.
