Thanks for the pictures, KCOOL. I haven't seen a replay yet. Do you have a picture of his bow at the end. He looks up and smiles so big to the audience. He knows he is loved. smile

AS THE ORG TURNS

Last time, he didn't do enough.

Jeez couldn't he have played actual songs we like from the album.

This time, he did too much.

Jeez he played so many new songs, that's a lot to take!

Tomorrow: oh why oh why didn't he play a lovely Purple Rain medley

If there was ever a time to do it...

Next week: oh I just heard him play a Purple Rain medley

I had it up to here with Purple Rain, play the new songs.

In two weeks: why is he playing stuff from AOA?

That album is so over.

Christmas: I just unwrapped my 7 disc Purple Rain boxset and my only qualm is that he was too cheap to include a eight disc with one more live show.

New Year Eve: I do think Prince went a little overboard with that boxset - he doesn't know where to stop

Some people have an opinion and that is all it is.Funny how you can get a wildly positive opinion from critics and people outside the Org and it is written off by the Org experts but if the masses agreed with you experts the critics and masses would be spot on.

The same thing is true for you sycophants. When critics were dissing his ass, y'all wanted them and their opinions to rot in hell but now that they're being kind, suddenly what they say matters. Girl bye. talk to the hand

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I don't know about that, it could have been on purpose, but I don't really think so, his reaction seemed like an honest one, which is that someone on the setup crew forgot to plug the sucker in. Nice recovery regardless though.

I dont think so. He played for about a minute before he seemed to realize it wasn't plugged in. If it was an attempt to showcase Donna then he could have just not picked up his guitar.

Prince's INCREDIBLE Eight-Minute 'SNL' Medley!!!!

Prince and 3rdEyeGirl bust out 'Art Official Age' and 'Plectrumelectrum' tracks during their unprecedented, mind-blowing 'SNL' gig

The last time Prince had eight uninterrupted minutes on national television, he was performing at the Super B...ftime show in 2007. While that gig featured greatest hits like "1999," "Purple Rain" and Let's Go Crazy," Prince's Saturday Night Live set featured tracks that were likely unknown to most viewers. It didn't matter: Prince, his backing band 3rdEyeGirl and guest vocalist Lianne La Havas still delivered one of the most explosive and most polished SNL musical spots anyone has witnessed since perhaps when Chris Rock, the guest host, was still an SNL featured player.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are so lucky tonight," Rock told the audience during his introduction for Prince, and the comedian was right. The opening moments of the performance mirrored the cover of his new albumArt Official Age with Prince and his three-lensed sunglasses stationed in front of a blue sky. For the first track in his SNL medley, Prince and La Havas duet on that album's bouncy "Clouds." "Maybe we're better off in space…," La Havas sang while Prince grabbed his six-string, the perfect segue into the guitar freak-out "Marz" off his and 3rdEyeGirl's other new

LP Plectrumelectrum.

For the final cut in the medley, Prince slowed things down briefly for the Plectrumelectrum rocker "Anotherlove," which gave Prince another opportunity to showcase those guitar god skills that landed him on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists. Prince's unprecedented eight-minute SNL set still felt too short as most viewers were probably wishing the Purple Rain singer would perform an encore instead of kicking it over to Weekend Update.

Prince's performance will be hard to top, but Kendrick Lamar will give it his best shot when Saturday Night Live returns on November 15th after a week off. Woody Harrelson will be the guest host of that episode.

I listened to it again, this time on my laptop with good speakers. It sounds great. All I can say is that he and his band can play the shit out of mediocre songs. It is not the Prince that I know and love but at the end of the day, it is still the same guy and I gotta love him no matter what. Even though this new music and band is about as boring as unflavored gelatin.

Prince doesn't set up his own gear. Im not sure who his current tech is.. maybe it was Trevor's job to have everything set up.. not sure. Whoever's responsibility it was, I'm sure they felt incredibly embarrassed when they saw that.

How does playing a guitar that isn't plugged in showcase Donna? Mistakes get made, he recovered from it pretty well.

Dull performance. It wasn't 'bad' but just... dull, servicable, okay. 3rdEyeGirl have run their course. I don't know why he has kept this band so long, it's not like him. Of all the bands he chooses to keep he goes with this? neutral His afro looked terrible as well, you could see right through it.

I might sound overly negative but I really don't mean to be. I honestly think it's the band. They limit him and the material

I couldn't agree more. He needs to work with a far higher calibre of musician. A band that can stretch him also.

Donna is one of the worst musicians he's ever worked with. Completely wrong. Her entire appearance was painful to watch. Just one of many things wrong with this performance.

Yeah, the outfit seemed like she might actually think she is a rock star. I think she is hot though so I can forgive the Ace Frehely get up and awkward skipping over her guitar cords.

I have to watch it again, and I do not play guitar, but if I was a guitar god I think I would know from the first touch that my shit wasn't pluged in. Not a minute later. Like duh.

I didn't agree with org dude that it was about Donna. I think it was the "real music by real musicians" thing. What better way to show off that you are real than by pluging in live.

Alan Leeds needs to realize that even if Prince is not up to his standards, he is still a million miles ahead of the newer, younger acts of today. I mean, did you see Iggy Azaela's awkward, amateurish performance last week? Alan wants Prince to turn into Eric Clapton or Tom Petty to be taken more seriously. It's like the guy doesn't know him at all. No one else on the scene is capable of doing what Prince is doing right now so why move into the elder statesman of rock and roll mold?

Not a single moment struck me as remotely interesting. The lyrics to Clouds are embarrassing, even more so live.
