Hell Yeah! What kind of station is it? Nevermind, I googled it, should've figured it was an r&b hiphop station. Cool that he's getting some airplay though, very cool!

Good to hear! There is a reason Detroit has always held a special place for P! They get it!

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

Wow really?! I don't listen to WJLB at all but it's great that he's getting some love here in Detroit. I'd think it'd go over better if they played it on 92.3 or 105.9, I can't see the youngsters who listen to WJLB really appreciating "U Know".

Why do they need to appreciate it

Perfect song for that demographic. "U Know" is a song that is contemporary and still right up Prince's alley. I hope WJLB adds it to their rotation.

wow, that's whassup! I'm in The D and i'm curious about who played it (what DJ) and when. Did they "intro it", solicit feedback? I agree this is the perfect demographic for that song, even if they 'get it' or not. but enough old heads still listen to that station (as well as all of the r&b, hip hop, and old school stations) to recall and appreciate the Mojo era and "respond" to that track and get behind it!

105.9? I've only listened to Mason a few times since the station decided to remove Tom Joyner Morning Show for their morning show (Didn't mind since I find Joyner annoying). Mason got my respect for being the longtime public announcer for Detroit Pistons games. I'm interested in knowing what DJ played the song on WJLB but can't stomach hearing the dreck they play to find out. Either way, I hope this song is added nationwide and get some significant airplay.

so I guess Mason AND WJLB (97.9) played the song because Mason is on 105.9. that's good, maybe its an indication that its about to get adds as a single. hope so, AOA deserves some attention and a nice little run. Solid album, its been in heavy rotation for me since it came out!

Went to the T'Wolves vs Chicago Bulls game at Target Center and they played parts of FunknRoll, We Gets Up(thought this weird because it was never a huge hit or any airplay), 1999, and Let's Go Crazy throughout the game.

Not a bad night for a Prince fan tonight.

now that they played it, if you want them to play it again, call and request it. It's easier to get it played on a station that's already playing it.

RTHK-3 in Hong Kong, China, regularly plays Prince. Including many new tracks. I find this mind boggling as I am the only Prince fan I know here. I actually sent a facebook message to the station's FB page to ask who the Purple-head is in the station. Haven't gotten a reply yet sad

FM4 (Austria) plays Funknroll on a regularly basis.

They also played Dance 4 me a lot of times (and still play it).
