well i found it funny. and i thought the prince fans aka aisha would appreciate it..

scenario is, the national teacher awards in florida and the the host introduces Little Richard to present an award. (little richard himself did the voice)

Little Richard: I'm a big fan of teachers and I'm a teacher myself. i taught Paul McCartney to WHOOO!

Homer: (Homer in the audience stands up with a lighter) DO PURPLE RAIN!

Little Richard: Shut Up!

Homer: Oh My God, Michael Jackson just told me to shut up!

I remember that one, cracked me up. There have been quite a lot of Prince references on the show. When they had all those puppies, one was named Prince, another named "The puppy formerly known as Prince." There was another show where they did a split-screen for some reason, a bunch of people on the phone, and P was one. I don't remember the specifics.

Prince had done a song for the show called my name is bart, and it is funny as hell for those who haven't heard it, and it was supposed to be on the simpson's yellow album, but ended up not. i suppose it probably would have been on that episode had they actually used it..

There was also an episode where Milhouse got emotional & said, while fighting back tears, "So this is what it feels like when doves cry!".

I don't think i've seen that one, but that's some funny shit.

There was another episode where Otto's shoes talk to him and say the intro. line to 1999, when Homer is the Human shield.

Apu: "For the next 5 minutes I'm going to party like
it's on sale for $19.99!"

Homer: "And, a nation is born. Now, let us party, like 'twere 1799!"

Otto's shoes: "Don't worry, we won't hurt U. We only want 2 have some fun."

What's up with all the Prince fans that are Simpsons fans? I'm sure there's a thesis in there somewhere.
