Every now and then I come across a post, stating something like "well, RAVE wasn't my favourite album, but it's still better than most of the stuff out there...". I wonder, how interested Prince fans are in today's music - do they only listen to the shit, that can be heard on the radio, or do they make an effort to learn of new great records, by reading music magazines or investigating record-shops?
Are Prince fans old-fashioned and deaf to the good "stuff out there"?

I haven't heard any 'good stuff out there' in a very VERY long time. So no I personally don't listen to much radio except for the oldies station on my way to and back from work.

Its 90% awful, and the 10% is not much better, otherwise I sure as hell wouldn't get excited about some middle aged past it superstar selling his two bit religious bullshit over the waves...

Ofcourse every now I then I go to the radio or watch music videos, but more than 90% of my MUSIC world revolves around Prince's music...

Good question. I think the music was better in the 80's. Even most kids from today would agree. I do like a lot of the production on r&b records. But, there is nothing that can hold a candle to Prince.
