One thing I will say about Funkenberry is that he has been the only reliable source for years. Starting to think the guy is the Prince Whisperer.

Will it be the full band or just 3EG or both in different places?? And will it be a world tour or just a limited region tour like he's been doing the past few years. I think his return to WB calls for a return to a fullblown world tour.

Will be a world tour if WB are behind it like it seems that are, the album sales are not what they got him back for, they will have made less than a million from the new albums so far. They know he can fill arenas still which is where the money is.

Ida mentioned a "long tour" so would imagine stopping off at plenty of places

I'd love 4 this 2 happen. A new worldwide tour 2 promote the phenomenal AOA album & NEW material. Andy Allo 2 support. Time 2 say goodbye 2 the hits. NPJazz, Liv & Shelby etc should take a back seat & be sold on the merchandise stand only!!

This account ONLY gets used when Live Nation are involved. That's the trend I've noticed.

He started adding the hits back in with those shows. If he's going to repeat again, I'd rather have a set list more like the 2013 shows. Although, the new material would even be better. I guess we'll probably find out next week what the tour will be like.

Many sources have mentioned a new tour coming long before old dingleberry said anything...

Let's hope it's a worldwide tour that is an entirely revamped playlist, no sampler set and inclusion of at least 5 AOA and PE songs

I'd pay a fortune to go on tour with Prince after that I'd be floating on air for a very long time.

Now the deal with Warners makes sense... Obviously they weren't banking on just the albums it was the whole package...

New albums, new tour, Purple Rain re-issue...

He has Jessie on guitar but ever since Seth quit or was sacked from the band I don't see it happening. He does have twins and some other possible dancers in the show but I think they are jailbait. Too young for a world tour. His PR team better get on it with his albums not selling good. Can't wait for his statement on his tour and I think he said he has a few more albums in the can that Funkenberry. I will be sitting patiently in from of my $1000 TV set with a keyboard that brings in good reception from the world wide web. We can only hope he remasters the old spreecasts. Has season one been released on DVD yet?

For me it would be great if he played Purple Rain in full and then the new albums.

The only problem we have is Prince is not interested one bit in playing his old stuff. He has moved on, which is a shame because I think that would get the crowds coming back for more.

Other than the potential for some amazing live boots, I don't care about this at all. Hopefully he keeps the bandmember count light and tight.

Are you kidding??? I'd say at least 90% of what he plays live is old stuff. Maybe some different live arrangements, but still old songs. I have no interest in seeing 3RDEYEGIRL playing the songs from Purple Rain live. If this is actually going to be a tour at larger venues, then I'm sure he'll be playing all the hits. I'm hoping for a smaller venue tour with lots of new material, but I'm pretty sure that won't be happening!
