Im with you...it used to feel lightweight and slightly throw away, but in the context of the album i think it works really well....'skipping' it doesnt even enter my mind.

Yeah, it is definately a funky song. I thought it sounded derivative of other Prince songs first, but I have started to like it more and more the more I've played it. It sounds amazing on headphones!

I still don't like it that much; it's one of my least favourit off the album.

Hope I can join the support group sooner or later...

I didn't care for this song when it came out. But I like it in the context of the album.

I was originally a bit puzzled when I saw some people comparing the track to "The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker" ("huh?! how dare you?"), but yeah the similarities are there. It's sort of funny that the track is the "jazziest" piece on the new record(s).

I find myself enjoying the song during the first minute or so, but there's just something about the production that doesn't really carry it all the way through. I don't mind the chipmunk voice, but goddamn, that snare sound...

While I absolutely love the song, the video does it no justice. Prince should have put something out on his own. It would have been fantastic to see a sophisticated video, and Prince in his element.

I love the maturity of the tune, and it's honesty... and it's humor. It's an instant classic!

the relaxed feel overall i like, the keyboards bring the tension down.

i've detuned the chipmunk vocals on a mix (an octave) because he really is doing some nice bluesy vocal touches there, even though they are speeded up on the original.
