17 Days (Demo)

Whos heard this and who's singing on it?

It sounds great, perhaps better then the b-side.

I also have a version of Little Red Corvette which sounds almost identical to the original but is obviously not sung by the man himself although whoever it is sings it almost note for note, any ideas on who this might be singing?

I have the 17 Days Piano Demo, is that the one you are talking about? Sounds like p to me on that one at least.

Not sure about the LRC demo.

Are you sure it isn't the cover version recorded by Kreem?

I have no idea what the LRC verion could be.

Whoa. Is this on a bootleg or just floating out on its own? I'm not asking how or where to get it. I'm just curious. 17 Days has always been one of my favorite songs.

That song is TERRIBLE. so flat and lacking energy. Straight dud. One of his most repetitive songs ever.

It's a breakup song... Anyway, one of his best B-sides and if I was making a "best of Prince" playlist this track would always be on it. This is classic Prince.

SoulAlive

wasn't "17 Days" originally intended for Apollonia 6? I think Brenda's background vocals can even be heard on the released version.

I am taking a piss. Just making complaints about this tune that others make about new ones to back up 'its a shit recoding' claim.

My business card says 'chanted Dorothy parker @ the HOB in L.A. on It Ain't Over'...so kudos to him.

His claim to fame is better than mine...so who am I to talk shit.

I bet Tony M puts all his business cards in a big stack and then shuffles the cards in that stack.
