Prince, at 56, has a REMARKABLE voice STILL!!! Listening, for the 128th time, to AOA while working today I was struck by how GOOD Prince's voice is...STILL. At the age of 56. Crystal clear falsettos. High notes reached with ease. No vocal "cheating". Remarkable.Other pop stars of his age have seen for the most part a steady decline in vocal quality and tone. Sometimes this adds charactor but in Prince's case he sounds just as good on record (and live) as he did in 1995 and 1985, for that matter.He really does have an under-rated pop singing voice. Strong and clear for close to 40 years. | |

Heard him live in the UK , still great voice live. Some say his voice is on the decline on the org

His voice still sounds great, but let's not get silly - in no way do the screams and yelps on Breakdown stand up to TBO or whatever yardstick you want to use ("sounds just as good as 1985" you said, so). . Clearly his voice is not the same as it was 30 years ago and nor should it be. Everything is just fine. | |
