Ok... so last night I was searching through some really old threads on the org, and I came across one about P's abandoned movie projects.

It was mentioned that Prince wanted to create a movie about Camille, where he played two 'personalities' so to speak, and at the end of the movie it would have been revealed that it was all the same person.

Does anybody have any more information about this?

I know he had other movies projects, like the original incarnation of the Graffiti Bridge script featuring Cat and Madonna, but this one about Camille intrigues me a lot.

I read about this in an old issue of Uptown.In the mid-80s,he was toying around with the idea of a Camille movie.It sounds intriguing,but I don't think that the masses would have understood it.The soundtrack would have been amazing,though.

Yeah, I dont think it would of worked as a mainstream movie, but I still like the idea and think it would maybe make a good book or something.

I'm taking Uptown was a fanzine back in the day?

Do you know what issue it was? If I can track down any scans of the article (or if anyone on the org has it) I'd love to read it.

If it had been given a budget and Prince or WB had hired decent writers to flesh out Princes idea it could have been a decent flick. The idea or something similar has been used in "identity" and "filth". Doubtless many others.

yeah, when I first read about it, I instantly thought about the horror movie 'hide and seek'.

I think it would have been cool though, because Prince likes to put his little spin on things and make it his own.
