yes we are all a little shocked in Denmark -- to hear danish on a Prince album..:

the papers/ reviewers were surprised as well.. wink

^ here posted once again:

Bass-Ida (I guess its her), is speaking danish at the beginning of "Art Official Cage"

Quote:

"Mine damer og herrer, konger og dronninger og alt det midt imellem, velkommen til timen, I skal til at gøre noget der vil forandre jeres liv for evigt - åben det her bur".

as a dane that's a HUGE surprise.... to hear her shouting that, I think her accent / dialect is from the city Aarhus in Denmark, rather cool and also funny too. eek cool

Translation:

"Ladies and gentlemen, kings and queens and everything in between, welcome to the class, you are about to do something that will change your life forever - open this cage."

Oh my u're right! IDK y I've always been convinced she was Dutch even though I remember reading 10 times she was Danish b4. I will probably forget it again and keep believing she's Dutch lol lol

Aaaaaaaaaah, thx biggrin

.

The thing here is b4 I read on Princevault that she was speaking Danish (which I immediately turned into Dutch in my mind lol ), I would have been convinced that it was nonsense in the spirit of this song: https://www.youtube.com/w...z-pD4AI0).

.

I fear most of the listeners are going to believe exactly this and then either they gonna think it's funny or they gonna think it's gross lol lol

.

I wonder if some people also believed that the French rap on Girls & Boys was nonsense back in the days lol lol

In the same kind of vein I wonder if the babbling at the beginning of Boytrouble actually means something other than just being gibberish. It sounds like it could be English words modified in a consistent way like with Pig Latin or something, but I don't know if that's true or not.
