WTF are y'all talking about, she never even was in his band!
It was never exclusive to just band members but associated artists as well.
That makes it a bit harder, because an 'associate artist' isn't really contracted to be with him. So like Patrice Rushen or Tamara(and the Seen), she probably just did that for a 1 show. She was going to go back to whatever she was doing.
If you go by any musician that performed with Prince, I don't think we would be able to calculate that.

The problem is people come and go. If Prince worked again with Gale tomorrow would one be able to claim she been in the boat for 36 years? |

No, just count the time period they were in the band.
Patrice Rushen was never officially in the band, it was always only going to be a 1 time performance. If Gale did a 1 time performance with Prince next weekened, I wouldn't count that either.
But people who are just performing with him but not really band members shouldn't count. They are too hard to track. Nona Gaye performed with him a few times. But I don't count her. |

What about the guy who played (mimed/mimicked) keyboards in the NPG in the Graffiti Bridge movie? It was right after Dr.Fink left, so was he a stand-in? Who the hell was he?

Philip C was the hairdresser and he somehow got the part
He doesn't even play the keys in real life.
Oh wow, that is hilarious. He really looks like he doesn't know what he is doing! |
