Based on the portion in the studio that I watched during the Yahoo Live Nation special, I am sticking to my original thought that we are getting another album. That's my thoughts also. Josh seemed to indicate there was a new album ready and 'Revelation' was organic sounding with horns, which would match the horns-based material reportedly on the NPG album (Big City, Shades of Umber, Groovy Potential, etc.) | |

It was never said that we are getting another album in October. There was mention of an "October Surprise", which I'm 99% sure is the concert at Paisley Park sometime between Oct 12th - 19th. Dr Funkenberry said on his show that there would be another album of a lot of the songs that we have heard, but didn't make these 2 new albums. He didn't have any info on a date when it would be released. TRUE BLUE |

Well, following recent events, the next album will have its first listening party in the next week or so, and then another 10 or so listening parties over the next two years, and it will be released in Nov 2016 or so. | |

If there is an album to come, i can only imagine it will be an online/downloadable album from a Prince site (not itunes or Amazon). He/Warners wouldn't want it to get in the way of Aoa/PE (mainstream sales wise), but I think a 'fan only' release would be really amazing!
it could be the jazzier/funk album that has been touted. Or it could be soemthing else entirely? | |
