Having listened to 'Time' many times, it struck me how similar it sounds to some material by Minneapolis band Gayngs, in particular 'The Last Prom on Earth' and 'The Gaudy Side of Town'. Prince went to see this band at First Avenue a few years ago. Has anyone else noticed this influence or spotted anymore contemporary influences on other songs?
