My bad--I spoke in ignorance. I assumed that Spoitfy was some type of bootleg site not a legitimate site that pays for the music it posts. If Spotify is somehow paying the music it's posting, then, it seems, that the artists do get paid in some way. Again, my bad, and I apologize, especially for speaking in ignorance.

Ehhh... some artists would challenge the idea that it is much better to have your work shared with a million people and they earn fifty bucks, than to have your work given away to a million people for free.

But yes it is legal and P has made the deal with them so, stream away.
