Love (Never Has 2 Say Goodbye) leaked in full Finally, we get to hear the chorus. I thought it was going to be a much bigger to be honest. Still a sweet song.
I can't come 2 the phone right now But if U want, U can leave a message
I wouldn't trust my heart 2 anyone Cuz somebody let me down So hard I fell Happiness, one day, must surely come And if not, I wear a frown
Because 4 everyone, there's someone Who will care And time has proved ur love will Still be there
Let's find that place in paradise Where we first made a plan Love never has 2 say goodbye Let's go back where we said hello And never say goodbye again
Until U found this place of bitterness Deep down inside my heart I wouldn't feel right If U should ever change your street address How that would leave a scar We were destined long ago 2 be as one And now I know R time has finally come
Let's find that place in paradise Where we first made a plan Love never has 2 say goodbye Let's go back where we said hello And never say goodbye again Love never has 2 say goodbye Let's find that place of happiness Where we forgive again Love never has 2 say goodbye Let's cherish what was heaven sent And never doubt R love again Oh, love...
Seems like we're always looking 4 that righteous one That we forget sometimes That we all have 2 cry real tears And most of us, we have real fears That bear rejection scars That leave us searching 4 a hiding place Where we won't let anyone else, anyone else in But I just wanna say That it's time 4 healing It's time 4 forgiveness We can learn from these experiences And no one and nothing can ever own us Cuz love is a mutual caring and sharing And life is a glorious journey through time and space And please, please just enjoy it Just, just try 2, just try 2 groove Don't say goodbye Come on, baby Don't tell me we're though Love never has 2 say goodbye

'Sweet' is a good description. Better than some of the songs he released on Emancipation. U been bamboozled, hoodwinked, took.

Listening now. I like. Never heard a snippet before, though. I might guess Emancipation era, but what do we know for sure? Never even read about this in The Vault. Nice surprise. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

he sure wrote a lot of balads for Emancipation and i like almost all of them. i'm still miffed that "journey 2 the center of your heart" didn't make the cut. this one has all the watermarks of the Emancipation era so i think it's a safe bet it is from those sessions. great vocals, nice melody and i love that it goes on for more than 5 minutes and just breathes a bit toward the end. good stuff! i love when these nuggest trickle down to us, mere mortals, when the collectors decide to let go of another song. weird timing though, with PE and AOA probably about to leak any day now. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I've been dying to hear this. As usual I can't find it online, not since the old haunts got shut down.

The song may get a little corny, but I really when he puts himself out there lyrically like this. I find the sentiment in this song much more believable than in The Breakdown. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

Beautiful. Classic Prince. Much better than the recent stuff. I like it a lot.

oh that bird! i remember seeing him on tv the first time and immediately, when he made that camera shutter sound i thought "sounds like a sample prince uses a lot (it's in The Greatest Romance, for instance) / this clip though, is an altered version of the original. i LOL-ed so hard at the Seinfeld theme

Way too cheesy. So outdated too....those synths are horrndous. This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

This is very nice.
Would have perferred this to Betcha By Golly Wow.

It's pretty bad. It would have sounded dated already around the time Emancipation came out.

I remember hearing the snippet a coupla times afore it vanished and liking his depressed phone message . Can't find this at the moment tho. Finally heard that talked over bit of don't let him fool ya. Pretty funky For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Yeah, it's full on sugary corn-fest but I love all these Emancipation era ballads. And I kind of agree with your Breakdown point. This sounds sincere in comparison

I consider myself a loyal member of the Org family. I'm friendly and tolerant and contribute my opinions or observations in the hope they may benefit others. But every now and again I realise that I'm a nobody because I DON'T get leaks - I DON'T finally get to hear the chorus - I'M NOT 'in the loop' or whatever I need to be in to hear this stuff. For the love of God, where is it? I know you can't tell me but...

Anyone who hasn't heard it shouldn't fret, the org is full of cool dudes who will help you out. After. Few listens my summary is the song is very nice, the production at times is cheap sounding, it has those horrible synth sounds mostly evident on The Truth album. I really like the speech towards the end. If you like Emancipation, your going to like this.

I like it. Sounds a lot like a remake of Betcha By Golly Wow to me, very similar feel. Was probably a toss up which of the two he put on Emancipation. If that was the case, he made the right choice but I definitely like this.

I'm probably the biggest nobody on the site. Leaks don't always end up in the hands of somebodies. I've stumbled on a few before. And trust me, I'm a nobody. You'd be shocked how some things just end up in your lap. How these things work out is more difficult to understand. It all starts with somebody who gets the song only if they promise not to share it. Then you have to figure somebody can't control themselves, and it leaks. I hope the leaker doesn't have mafia guys after them, but they probably have outted themselves. And sometimes the songs were possibly leaked by Prince, but the person who got hold of the leak wants to be special, and brag about what they have and won't share.
Again, just theories, but who really knows?

I agree, it used to be a lot easier to get kind of stuff. Maybe I'm just getting old. "Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut." Ernest Hemingway

I agree, there is not a lot in it but I would have gone for this just because it's his own song.
