Is it me or does AOA sound like a sequel to 1999?

somewhere after the end of 1999, USA and USSR nuke eachother, Prince seeking a place to escape and the money to do so goes into an experimental "suspended animation" project and is awakened 45 years later and AOA is his story...

your thoughts?

I'm not saying it's a good as 1999, the sequel never is, I'm talking about the story, vibe, etc

I think The Gold Standard sounds like a hybrid of Lovesexy and 1999 for sure.
