I know about Affirmation I and III, but where is Affirmation II, it's not on the CD, right? Like the headline says,
where is Affirmation II ? (it's missing on the CD, right),
Sorry but I really can't find it...
Is it missing like some of the spoken parts are missing on the album (the love symbol album '92)..?

I had the same thought. On the track, we clearly hear Lianne say "Affirmation number one," and then state the affirmation about "I, Me, and Mine." But then it goes straight into Way Back Home.
Where is the second affirmation? At first I thought it may have been cut for length, but the CD runs only 53 minutes, so there is more than enough room on the disc. Perhaps Prince thought that people wouldn't enjoy hearing Lianne's voice for an additional minute with only the harp sounds accompanying her? I, for one, love the sound of her voice, and besides the fact that a second affirmation is needed to make the title more accurate, I feel that it would have also contributed more to the story/theme of the album.
Shame it isn't there. https://www.youtube.com/@PurpleKnightsPodcast |

Affirmation II is Way Back Home, basically, if you listen to the tracks as 1 full suite. |

It could be the spoken part over the intro of "Way Back Home".
I highly doubt it's missing from the CD. Rather, Prince is just being esoteric with the track titling (it's the same thing with Maxwell and some other artists).

I noticed the female voice doesn't mention Affirmation II Maybe is was cut short for good reason? It was probably like 10 minutes of psychobabble like "One Song" was
the "One Song" speak is so terrible. I agree. I have no idea what that was about. Prince 4Ever. |
