This Could Be Us - I'm Addicted

I have found myself addicted to this track. Which I never saw coming...there are so many amazing tracks on this CD but this is the one thats "got me"...it is really just the epitomy of Prince.

Takes me right back to 1984. music

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

I love it. It sounds like it could be on the Symbol album.

Lovely ballad, it's one of my favorite tracks on AOA and Princes vocal delivery is amazing on this song smile

Wonderful song. Prince's vocals are beautiful (and there are people who are saying he's losing his voice?!). Like all the highlights of AOA, it's suprisingly melancholic. I just wish the 4:33 mark came much sooner and the keyboard/guitar finish lasted a minute or two longer biggrin

I'm with you. This could be my favorite. I love how the background music to the verses and the chorus sort of interchange. Fucking brilliant.

It's a really nice sounding song. It kind of cracks me up how he says "you're the cage to my door." It's not exactly the best way to profess your love

Excellent track. "You ready? Nah, you ain't ready..."

.

Just one of several great r&b songs on AOA. And then there's the weird funky awesome Prince tunes on there. I feel so spoiled. Damn!

I think it's "cage to my dove," but I've been wrong a lot. Just ask my exes.

That deep organ sound that runs along throughout the track is fantastic. It takes the track to another level.

That's for sure now, I'm on the twilight ZONE.

It would have been the stinker of the album.

You are all kidding, right ? You kept on bashing Prince for years when he was reelasing good stuffs, and now you love his shits ?

I'm gonna play too. IT COULD BE US could be on PURPLE RAIN.

My favorite too. The synth riff blows me away.

Reminds me a bit of Dark. Not the song itself, but the deep synth, especially in the verses where there is very little else going on in the song. Great stuff.

Let's hope that if there is a "single", then the artwork for this song will be the Internet meme. Although, it would be easy enough to find . . .

this track really does grow on you. At first couple of listens I thought i like it but I have heard this kind of prince ballad before. Now though that is kinda why i love it. You can see prince owning this song live in concert.

He will never perform any songs from it, beside FNR.

Me too.

It's truly beautiful. A first-rate track, like so many on AOA.

You being so sarcastic, let's make a deal, REBELJUICE : if Prince does a live performance in the next 3 months (that means SINGING) with anything on AOA except FUNKNROLL, I leave the org.

If not, you leave it.

Does it seem honest to you ? razz

I'm sure you won't make that deal, because you know i'm right.

That includes the Live Nation Release party tomorrow night as well then? Seriously, you want to take that bet?

Why not ? I told something, if I'm wrong, that wouldn't be honest. If I leave, this won't be the end of the world.

This bet is exciting, this would be interesting if Prince played something live of an album so dull and plastic.

I rather think he would play some tracks on PE, FNR, and SCREWDRIVER lol Maybe a hit or two.

And maybe there would be an instrumental set of joshua Welton (affirmation 3), but not sing by Prince.

Im not going to take the bet because I know deep down it would hurt you to leave the org in such a way. But I will still throw the Bye Bye emoticon in your face after the release party just to rub a bit of salt into the wounds.

Its a launch party for 2 albums. If he is going to play live, why would he not play songs from both albums? If Andy Allo is there Im sure he will play Time and/or This is What it Feels Like. Then there is the Breakdown, which he has played live before. Seriously, Im not taking the bet for your sake, not mine. You will be grateful in a couple of days (even if that egg on your face will be caked deep into your pores). biggrin

loool Why would you care of my sake ? Don't worry about me I'll be fine. You're just afraid of leaving, you (a thing that I can conceive though), because you know there is a chance that I could be right, one never knows.

So I ll take the bet alone and split it in two, I'm not leaving if i'm wrong, just writing figures and numbers, and shut the fuck up. I told you what I thought in all honesty.

I'm eagerly waiting for your "bye bye on your face just to rub a bit of salt into the wounds"! Very exciting. Personnaly, I don't care and I'm ready for the lynch !
