RADIO PROMOTION Hello,
I don't listen to much radio but as of late I've tuned in to see what's hot... or not. I'm in Detroit and this past week I haven't heard anything from Prince's forthcoming cd's, how about others in other places?
Sidenote: I remember the release of SOTT, yes it was years ago when things were different but every hour on the hour they played a different cut from the record, everyone was talking about him, liked or not.
Once again, how about you guys in other locations?

No radio promotion here for Memphis radio. No advertising on TV either. I don't know what the hell is going on!
You have 2 albums coming out and nothing is advertised.
I think what may be the problem is his agreement with Warner Brothers. I imagine that since all of his catalogue is now in his possession, there is some type of agreement that Prince is the one who has to pay for most of the promotion for his own albums.
U Know or This Could Be Us or Way Back Home or The Gold Standard should be at radio/video/advertised but, so far, nothing.
Prince is screwing his comeback up, royally.

This reminds me of when around the world in a day came out. There were no initial singles until after the release. I really think prince wants us to absorb this album as a whole. Not much different than lovesexy.

Yeah. That might have happened where you lived, but I, distinctly, remember Raspberry Beret and Alphabet Street being on the radio!
So, Prince needs to hurry up and release something!
