Purple Army, Prince army, I have heard both.

I first heard it on Arsenio, I swear Arsenio just pulled this out of his ass at that very second, but for some reason, it seems to be sticking. Now thats all I seem to see when the media refers to Prince fans. Am I the only one that thinks this reference is ridiculous?

Purple Hippies maybe, yes, Fams, but not Purple army, oh no, I don't allow that! Yo, you got a dime?

oh FFS, the k***heads really are out in force today! Twitter Is for those of us who use it for the latest news & directly link to the Prince camp. The Prince army, Prince Watch etc tweets worked incredibly well for the UK gigs this year. The org is useful BUT twitter is a far stronger 'product' that has managed to unite so many fans, keep us upto date far quicker etc.

So, whilst it may seem like nonsense to you it works brilliantly for the rest who choose to engage - if you don't use it / don't get it / don't want it then PLEASE do not even bother to comment.

Yeah it worked quite well when people didnt know what was going on Twitter for the UK shows, Twitter is a great platform if used right and if its something thats a bit cheesy that gets people involved and helps you search for info then cant be too much of a bad thing, even if it is slightly cheesy
