I absolutely love this album!!!

'Dirty Mind'-the first song I ever heard by Prince, it didn't make me a fan, per se, but it introduced me to him and his whole vibe.
The synth solo is what made me love Dr. Fink so much

'When you were mine'-Sheer pop perfection!!! And, dare I say, one of his best songs.

'Do it all night'-This song never really did that much for me, it's a not-so-great song on a great album. That being said, it's cool with me.
I actually like the 'dirty mind' tour version of this song better. Mostly cause Dez & Andre are singin' on it.

'Gotta a broken heart again'-same as 'do it all night'

'Uptown'- Great, funky, upbeat, song with a great message.

'Head'- This my jam right here!!! Funky ass beat, raunchy lyrics, and it has lisa coleman on it, so of course I just love this.

'Sister'-Short, screwed-up, raunchy, little song.

'Partyup'- Love it, especially the 'chant' at the end. Props to Prince and Morris.

My fave song? hmm...probably 'head', 'when you were mine' is the runner up.

This album is perfect, but I guess at only 8 songs it is easier to make it 100% quality, however i like the fact that it is shorter. Nothing depresses me more when i buy a new album than having to sit through 17 tracks, half of which shouldnt be there.

When U Were Mine is princes best song IMO. Fantastic in every way. Quirky, funny, sad, joyous, and it has the best synth riff opf any of his songs.

I like the various live versions he's done of this, all slightly different.His live '88 version without the falsetto absolutely rocked, and the ONA version has the fantastic guitar solo at the end.

I listen to this song at least twice a day i would say, thats how hooked on it i am.
