Well for one thing it is debatable that "the Hits/B sides" is an album - really honestly it is not.
Also - be prepared - ranking AOA ahead of 1999 and Parade is going to bring you some attention for sure

Bring it on, and the hits has more new tracks than c-note, pink cashmere, pope, peach, nout compares 2u, crucial even.

do you mean I'm supposed to read 16 pages of (mostly) GARBAGE?
I have not and I will NOT
but, if it's true that the vast majority claims that AOA is def better than 20Ten, then this forum has finally become the mental asylum it was always meant to be
CONGRATULATIONS
this forum still kind of "had it" in 2005-2007 though, I remember the (mostly) positive reviews that 3121 got back when it was released...
after that people got jaded and the idi*ts from Housequake got here, and there you have it: it's 2014 and a clueless mass of people claims that AOA is better than 20Ten...
RIP Prince Forum, indeed
Joe go away man. You asked the question and we just provided the link you requested. The overwhelming majority of fans really like AOA. You didn't...ok that's fine but then don't get all huffy when people answer your question...and you certainly don't have to read 16 pages. Read one and you'll get the drift. Dance... Let me see you dance

no, it's not hard at all; maybe a bit (and I mean, a bit) annoying
but no big deal, because, as I've said, this forum LOST IT after 2007...
if anything, I'd understand folks claiming that both 20ten / AOA suck... Then u should've left.... ...but u be playin'. Joey joey joey...u keep on foolin around.

My question now is will his next album have this same sound, or will he once again take a left turn à la ATWIAD post-PR? [Edited 9/28/14 16:48pm] [Edited 9/28/14 16:49pm] "The password is what."

My God, Way Back Home makes me almost want to cry every time I listen to it. It's beautiful. The back end of this album is on point in a big way. It fucking destroys.
.
And, yes, this is WAY better than 20Ten, and I'm not even a 20Ten hater but come on. This is the first Prince album since forever where I don't have to jump up and skip a song out of embarrasment when I play it around my friends. For a Prince record, that's saying a LOT. Wow I'll have to comment on Tuesday when I download. I have only heard 4 tracks. I'm resisting the urge and waiting until official release. But I already know it's worth the wait. Good times! Love God and I shall 4ever Love u

I 've been sitting here trying to think of the right words but only one keeps coming to my mind. And it's such a shocking, vile and vulgar word when it comes to Prince music, that I really shudder when I think about and don't want to say it but I will because somebody has to. The word is BLAND!
I really don't care what anyone else thinks. What I just listened to was uninspired, heart-less, soul-less, FUNK-less and preachy. Yes, BLAND!!! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I have to say that AOA was the first Prince album that I just didn't find myself caring about.
So, I get a copy of it.
And it is still settling in.. but after a first listen... it sounds like P was very inspired... there is some stuff on here that sounds like things we have heard b4.. but some stuff is just so fresh from P.. like way back home... wow..
for me, the highlights are Art Official Cage (though i expected to hate it after reading the threads) Way Back Home Time Clouds U Know What it Feels Like
lowlights: Breakfast Can Wait Funk N Roll Remix - yikes This Could Be Us Gold Standard - I just cant with the preachy stuff
So overall.. feels good to hear him experimenting, there are some definite high points and things to get excitied about......

I am trying to wait it out until Tuesday. But man... reading this thread is making it so hard to wait. haha!

Tuff crowd... I embrace all of it. I feel nourished yet craving for more. Every song has its own character. I haven’t had to "skip through" a song I didn’t understand. Every day I feel is a blessing from God. And I consider it a new beginning. Yeah, everything is beautiful.

Must Say I absolutely love the Album ...
Clouds
Breakdown
The Gold Standard Seemed to cut off short. DIdn't like how it ended. Actually in my configuration i Place FALLINLUV2NITE after this and it seems to flow very well
U Know Breakfast Can Wait still don't like the squirely voice at the end but I like this song.
This Could Be Us took a couple listens, but I started digging the vibe
** In my configuration I add GROOVY POTENTIAL in here
What it feels like Affirmation I & II . Way Back Home Genius FunkNRoll Better than Plec Elec Version Affirmation III way back home reprise.

When played back to back - affirmation I & II, Way Back Home, affirmation III - thats some real deep spiritual goosebumpy stuff. Cant remember the last time that happened with his studio stuff.
