I would suggest you contact the radio station or search their website.

Clearly one of their DJs posted about 'Breakfast Can Wait' last year:

Certain Prince songs should be played on classic rock stations, but he and Warners sabotaged any chance of that happening. Racism, and Prince's feminine behavior probably played a role... Rock music is a very male dominated industry, especially back in the 80's. Kravitz embraced his rock roots, while Prince added Tony M trying to fit in with a new trend. So Prince didn't do himself any favors. It's too bad, Prince could have had it all..but he blew it. Still, he's the best musician ever, but maybe one of the worst at decision making for his own career.

The general perception of Kravitz is more about rock, Prince is more about pop and funk. Nothing that odd about Prince not being played on many rock stations.

Not that this is in any real way related to this thread, but I find it interesting that Lenny's greatest hits package has apparently sold more than Purple Rain.

Just recently Planet Rock(a digiral rock station) played Pretzelbodylogic on their new rock show, show casing new music and new bands. Thought it was quite cool

DIAMONDS AND PEARLS and LOVESYMBOL are two great albums, I don't see why it was a bad decision. it showcases the versatility of Prince's music. It mixes rap, rnb, rock, soul and funk. Much more interesting than Lenny Kravitz.

DFUNK

Interestingly, Double J, a digital station based in Australia, and predominatly more focused towards rock, alternative and indie music have been giving FunkNRoll a good spin over the last few days.

Needless to say, none of our commercial stations have touched it, because they are either "Classic Hits" or "Classic Rock" and the stations who play new music dont tend to touch anybody who is over the age of 35.
