Art Official Cage Sounds like it might be the best track on the album. Gold Standard also stands out. AOA is turning out to be a VERY solid record, much better than I was anticipating.

How much do they pay you for this viral marketing, newbie?

Newbie. Maybe to the board. Fan since '82.

The page with the reviews - https://www.highresaudio....bid=276308 here. Has the album titled as Art Official Age. However the first song is listed as Art Official Cage. I thought it was a typo but it's still there.

Why do people on the ORG always have to investigate someone to see how long they've been a member and then be slightly passive agressive ("newbie") in order to self satisy a need to feel their opinion takes on great importance! Does it really matter if a fan became a fan of Prince 2 hours ago or 30 years ago? At least he still has fans! Unify and become excited for the new records! It might be another 5 years...

It was confirmed a while back that the difference is correct.

We'll see how long you'll be active here on the org.... If you're really a fan, then welcome. But for now I remain a skeptic. [Edited 9/24/14 15:11pm]

To be honest with you I quite like the sound of Art Official Cage After hearing the 30 seocnd snippets I was pleasantly surprised and more so with Plectrum Electrum

Only you care that you're a "Skeptic" so why not just keep that information to yourself instead of sharing with the world! zzz [Edited 9/24/14 15:25pm]

WTF?
Why would WB waste viral marketing resources on the Org, of all places?

Bring it ludwig. Ask me anything. Unlike many other, I like it when P combines and dance/technoish sound with guitar. he doesn't do it much, but I am probably one of the few people on here that liked "Loose!"

Yeah that was pretty amusing. Trust me, I wish WB would ask my opinion. There would have been a lot of different choices for singles throughout the years!

I like "Loose!" too. It's a little trashy but fun. I like most of his output from the 90ies until now, even if it's not as good as his work from the golden age. But his latest offerings were very poor imho. He's still a fantastic live performer, but AOA is just garbage to my ears.

Art Official Cage is pretty wacky. It's my least favorite on the album. But I try to think of it as an intro. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Ah right, hadn't seen anything addressing it. Cheers

It's the only song I don't love on this album. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Another orger mentioned this song is more of an intro and I agree. It sort of introduces the narrative. I do love that it's weird though. It's nice to hear Prince being playful and weird, and just doing his Prince thang. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

this song is totally fucking retarded. not necessarily in a bad way. not necessarily in a good way. it's less of a song than an intro. or a warm-up track for DJ Dudley D to get the party going before Prince comes out on stage.

The nice thing is you can start AOA on Clouds and it sounds like that was supposed to be the beginning all along. No harm, no foul. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"
